My Covell/UOP learnings and experience were very instrumental in my personal and professional growth.  Following graduation from Covell/UOP, I worked for Corporate America for over 30 years.  And ten years ago, I started a business to leverage that experience.  I am now President and CEO of Alcántara Brands Corporation in Las Vegas.  This is a Nevada shell corporation incorporated in 2008; it recently started trading in the stock market in the OTCBB exchange (owned by NASDAQ) with the symbol ACBR.  Shares are about $4.50 and we have announced a forward 10 to 1 split.  I invite UOP alumni/students to invest nominally in ACBR in what may be one of the few public companies started by a UOP alumnus.  I would be available to talk to anyone interested when I am in Stockton in June.

Since leaving Stockton my business travels have taken me to over 65 countries and I ended up living in 7 of them so far.  My wife Shanda and I live in Nevada and travel to my native Peru from time to time.  I have two great children, one in the Hospitality Industry in Nevada and the other as a  “CSI” (Crime Scene Investigator) in California.
