I do not know most of you covelianos, but we share a kinship of a common education and a desire to unite multiple cultures.  l am humbled to submit my Bio.

I have been a teacher since January 1982.  I have taught elementary school and high school with  a focus on bilingual education, English learners  and reading instruction.  I have taught in the following California cities:  Stockton, Rialto, Patterson, Manteca, Modesto and Tracy.  Currently in Tracy, CA, I teach high school English and English Language Develoment (formerly ESL).  Next year I will also be the CELDT Coordinator at Kimball High.  My experience at Covell, especially in the Inter-Cultural Communications class, has helped prepare me for the very diverse population I teach.

I have been married since June 1979 and have three beautiful adult children.  I will be a grandmother in October and can hardly wait!  Retirement is about 15 years in the future.

My travel experience has included Oregon, most of California (I love San Diego), Nevada, Colorado, Georgia, Florida and Biloxi, Mississippi.  While in high school, I spent nine weeks in Cali, Colombia as a foreign exchange student.  I still want to see the Grand Canyon, Hawaii, Scotland and Europe.

My husband and I are recent "empty nesters."  Now that the children are not at home, life is redeveloping itself.  I can't wait to see what happens next
