Hola Covelianos circa 1978-1982, We missed many of you at the last Covell reunion as most of the attendee's were from earlier years. Elbert Covell College was a special place; dinner at Dr. Robinson's with visiting professors, the presidential elections at Dr. Pippin's home with Luis Brewer and Isabel Sosa, El Centro with Dr. Shimmel, and introducing incoming Covelianos during orientation. After leaving Covell I worked for the District Attorney's Victim Witness Assistance Program in Stockton. I soon learned that intervention was the key to keeping Hispanics from becoming victims in the courts and I became an educator. I served as a high school counselor, elementary teacher, and for the last nine years as an administrator working with students from East Salinas in the Alisal Union School District. My family and I live in Monterey, California and my husband and I have two incredible girls both of whom are studying International Studies. Analise is an International Studies major with an emphasis on Latin America and a minor in Spanish. She will be studying at La Universidad Católica y La Universidad de Santiago in July, estoy emocionada de ir a conocer Chile en diciembre y quizás Argentina. Covell was truly a special place. Saludes a todos los Covelianos de la clase del 80 hasta 84,
Sonia Aramburo
